At the end of July, myself and my former teacher, Barbara Gilbertson, were interviewed on BBC Radio Cumbria. We had a brilliant conversation about over 10 years of music making together. We discussed how with Barbara’s help, being exposed to a variety of musical styles allowed me to find my individual voice; adapting to all kinds of audiences; and the importance of the right pair of shoes when performing!
We also talked about my upcoming performance at the Finale concert of the Lake District Summer Music Festival on Sunday 7 August in Kendal. I will be performing the soprano solo in Vaughan Williams Sinfonia Antartica with the Royal Northern Sinfonia.
